Five-Star Safety Dax Hill Makes First Official Visit to Alabama

The top-ranked prospect in the state of Oklahoma for the 2019 cycle, five-star Booker T. Washington safety Dax Hill, made an official visit to Alabama over the weekend. It’s his first of five allowed official visits per NCAA rules.

Hill has a current top six that, in no order, includes the Crimson Tide along with OSU, OU, Clemson, Michigan and Ohio State. He plans to visit the remainder of his finalists during the summer according to Bill Haisten of the Tulsa World, and could make a decision before his senior year picks up in August.

Because of Hill’s familiarity with both OU and OSU, it’s possible one, or both, may be left out of the official visit rotation. He has made numerous trips to each campus, and has seen virtually everything in Stillwater since his older brother, Justice, has been on campus since 2016. He has likely seen all he needs to see from the in-state schools to make an informed decision.

Oklahoma State already holds a commitment from the No. 3 and No. 9 ranked prospects in the state in tight end Grayson Boomer and cornerback (and teammate to Dax Hill) Demarco Jones, respectively. Adding Hill to the fold would be a boon to potentially give the Pokes commitments from the top 3 recruits in the state, as the Pokes are also in the thick of it with the second-ranked prospect, four-star receiver Demariyon Houston.

Hill has remained quiet in the media but behind the scenes, the Sooners are grabbing a ton of momentum in regards to his recruitment. They are the current crystal ball favorite at 247Sports. But with several months and several official visits to go, things could change quickly as schools make their final push for the nation’s No. 8 overall recruit.
