A former Cowboy swiped an OSU commit.

After a visit to Purdue, Chase Clark announced Wednesday that he was flipping from Oklahoma State to the Boilermakers. Clark, listed at 6-foot-4, 290 pounds out of Chicago, had just committed to the Cowboys on June 7. Former Oklahoma State player Zach Crabtree is the offensive line coach at Purdue.

Clark is a three-star prospect who is listed as the No. 1,613 player nationally in the 247Sports Composite ranking. Along with offers to OSU and Purdue, he has offers to Oregon State, James Madison, Ohio, UConn and others.

Clark’s exit pushes the Pokes’ 2027 recruiting class back down to eight prospects. The Cowboys are still doing alright on the O-line front, with Sonny Mullen (TX) and Jake Baker (TN). OSU also made the final group for Alabama offensive lineman Tristan Hardin-Roberts, who recently changed his commitment date from this upcoming Monday to July 11.

Eric Morris made note early in his tenure that they were a little behind on the 2027 cycle given the coaching change and the fact that they had to almost entirely build the Cowboys’ current roster via the transfer portal.

OSU’s class ranks 71st nationally, according to 247Sports. That puts the Cowboys’ class 15th in the Big 12, but they also have the second-fewest commitments to this point.
