TRANSFER PORTAL TRACKER

The Cowboys are set to add a redshirt freshman edge rusher who finished as a top 200 recruit in the 2024 class.

Wendell Gregory, a South Carolina transfer, will transfer to Oklahoma State. Listed at 6-foot-3, 245 pounds, Gregory played in two games for the Gamecocks as a true freshman this past season, tallying one tackle.

Gregory was the No. 179 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the 2024 class, making him the No. 16 edge rusher and the No. 22 player from the state of Georgia. He chose South Carolina over reported offers from Michigan, Tennessee, Auburn, Arkansas, Kansas State, Nebraska and others. As a senior at Walton High in Marietta, Georgia, Gregory recorded 56 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and seven sacks.

The transfer portal re-opened Wednesday and will remain open until April 25.

The Cowboys added a handful of defensive linemen in the first window and through the junior college ranks. Malik Charles (West Georgia), Kyran Duhon (UTEP), Sitiveni Havili Kaufusi (UCLA), Chandavian Bradley (Hutchinson) and Rashod Bradley (East Mississippi) are all newcomers on the spring roster. Gregory is the fifth transfer the Cowboys have gotten from an SEC school, joining running back Kalib Hicks (Oklahoma), corner JK Johnson (LSU), receiver Sam Jackson V (Auburn) and linebacker Trip White (Ole Miss).

Of late, OSU has been landing prospects on the offensive side of the ball, with running back Freddie Brock (Georgia State), receiver Cameron Abshire (Emory & Henry), receiver Christian Fitzpatrick (Marshall) and offensive lineman Markell Samuel (App State) all committing to the cause this spring.
