Four-star Guard Ayo Dosunmu Names OSU in Final 7
It’s been a busy week for head coach Mike Boynton on the recruiting trail, who not only landed a commitment from top-100 shooting guard Antwann Jones this week, but is also preparing to host a number of five-star recruits on campus over the weekend.
The latest development in his big week came on Tuesday evening in an announcement from four-star guard Ayo Dosunmu declaring that he’s considering Oklahoma State in his final 7 schools, along with Kansas, New Mexico, USC, Wake Forest, Xavier and Illinois.

Dosunmu is a listed combo guard who leans towards a score-first point guard, which is a position of need in OSU’s 2018 class. The four-star prospect out of Morgan Park, Illinois, is rated as the No. 28 player in the 2018 class, and the No. 4 combo guard in the country.
With shooting guard Antwann Jones in the fold, OSU would likely bring him in as a play-making point guard who could play both on and off the ball if needed.
At the point guard position, OSU is also strongly in the mix for four-star Florida prospect Elijah Weaver, who is scheduled to take his official visit to Oklahoma State this weekend.
Dosunmu has official visits set up for Wake Forest and Illinois but, as of now, OSU hasn’t yet landed an official visit date. Even with Dosunmu naming a top 7, it looks like OSU may be fighting an uphill battle against Brad Underwood’s Fighting Illini, who appear to be the frontrunner in his recruitment.
