Friday Night Highlights: OSU QB Commit Carson White Throws for 100, Runs for 100 Again

The Cowboys were on a bye, but future Cowboys were on the gridiron this weekend.

Here’s a look at how Oklahoma State’s dozen high school commits fared this past weekend, with stats and highlights provided when available.

Carson White / QB / Hightower (4-2) / Texas

Height: 6-2

The Hurricanes continued their hot streak with a 41-6 win against Fort Bend-Bush.

Carson White threw for 100 yards on 16 attempts while running for another 118 and a touchdown on a dozen carries.

Through six games as a senior, White has 817 pass yards, 640 rush yards and has been responsible for 14 total touchdowns.

Hightower hosts Fort Bend-Clements (3-3) this week.


Ake O’Neal / WR / Argyle (5-1) / Texas

The high-flying Argyle Eagles were dominant on offense again, beating Eagle Mountain 56-21.

O’Neal caught a pair of passes for 39 yards in the game. He’s up to 24 receptions for 334 yards and four touchdowns in his junior season. Those are good numbers, especially considering he’s playing alongside four-star receiver Julian Caldwell (Texas Tech commit), who has caught 34 passes for 735 yards and 14 touchdowns to this point.

Argyle hosts Lovejoy (6-0) this weekend.


Cooper Hooker / WR / Pryor (4-1) / Oklahoma

Pryor won in shootout fashion this weekend, besting Tahlequah 59-48.

Pryor was down 42-28 at halftime before the defense locked it down in the second, and the Tigers came back to win. Hooker scored the touchdown that brought Pryor within 42-40 and was making plays all night outside of that.

Pryor hosts Bishop McGuinness (4-1) this week.


Bryson Brown / DB / Broken Arrow (5-0) / Oklahoma

Height: 6-1

The Tigers remained unbeaten with a 44-7 win against Edmond Memorial.

Brown was credited with four tackles and a pass breakup in the game. He released a highlight reel from his first five weeks this weekend, as well.

Broken Arrow travels to Westmoore (1-4) this weekend.

Ensworth got back above .500 by beating Knoxville Catholic 20-14.

Talan Scott / TE / ALA-Queen Creek (1-5) / Arizona

ALA-Queen Creek fell in a tight one to Corona del Sol 35-28.

Scott caught four passes for 29 yards in the game. He’s up to 27 receptions for 225 yards and two touchdowns in his senior season.

The Patriots have a bye this week.

Choctaw extended its win streak to four as it put a hurting on Putnam City West, with the Yellowjackets winning 72-0.

Sunny Mullen’s squad remained unbeaten with a 54-28 win against Caldwell.

Mullen was credited with a quartet of pancakes in the win.

TJ Lewis and Bolingbrook just keep winning. The Raiders picked up their sixth win in a row by beating Joliet Central 42-0.
