The last time the Cowboys and Cougars played each other, it came as a letdown spot for the Cowboys in 2009.

Fresh off beating Georgia 24-10 in Boone Pickens Stadium to start the year, the Cowboys fell 45-35 the next week to Houston. That game saw Case Keenum throw for 366 yards and three touchdowns. Zac Robinson threw for 240 yards and a score. Dez Bryant had five catches for 85 yards.

They played the year before, where OSU got a 56-37 win, part of the Cowboys’ 7-0 start in 2008. Dez Bryant went nuclear that day, catching nine passes for 236 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a 71-yard punt return that he scored on. Meanwhile, Kendall Hunter ran for 210 yards and two scores.

The last time these teams met in Houston was the 2006 season, Mike Gundy’s second year as head coach. Bobby Reid threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns while running for another 85 yards, but it wasn’t enough, as Houston won 34-25.
