Gunnar Gundy Bested Barry Switzer’s Grandson in Taste of High School Bedlam
The good guys won this pre-Bedlam battle in Norman.
The son of OSU coach Mike Gundy, Gunnar, led Stillwater High to a convincing 44-21 win over Norman North on Thursday night.
Gunnar, a Class of 2020 quarterback prospect, threw for three scores and out, uh, gunned Norman North’s quarterback Jacob Switzer — the grandson of OU legend Barry Switzer. How’s that for a little taste of high school Bedlam?

Per The Oklahoman’s Jacob Unruh, Gunnar went 13 of 19 passing for 325 yards and 3 scores. Switzer, meanwhile finished 8 of 19 for 106 yards, a TD and and INT; Switzer also logged 34 yards rushing, which probably came running the wishbone (don’t fact check that one).
Here’s highlights of the battle from KFOR’s Nate Feken.
