Jaeden Roberts Decision Primer: Where we Think the Four-star OL Will Commit

OSU’s is vying for a win — against Alabama and Auburn. Gulp.

Four-star offensive line prospect Jaeden Roberts will make his college commitment on Wednesday between Oklahoma State, Auburn and Alabama.

The Houston North Shore product has been high on Oklahoma State from the jump but the recent offer from Auburn may have thrown a wrench into OSU’s plans to pull one of the best offensive guard prospects from the state.

As we look ahead to the decision, the PFB team put together its predictions on where he will land come Wednesday.

Kyle Cox: Auburn – I’d love for Roberts to land in Stillwater, but I think the chance to follow his QB (Dematrius Davis committed to Auburn last week) makes the difference in whether or not OSU can land this big fish.

Marshall Scott: Auburn – Roberts would be a huge get for Oklahoma State, but everything seems to be pointing War Eagle. It’s a tough break for Gundy and staff who were in on him earlier and recruited him longer than Auburn, but recruiting against a (borderline?) blue blood is just one of those hurdles in recruiting.

Kyle Boone: Auburn – Auburn didn’t get involved until late February, which means it couldn’t host him for a visit in the middle of the pandemic. But despite that — and despite joining the mix later than most everyone involved — it doesn’t look like it will matter. The Tigers hold a commitment from his teammate, QB Dematrius Davis, and look to be in line to secure his commitment, too.

I’m not totally counting out OSU just yet because Charlie Dickey’s been able to foster a good relationship with Roberts, so potentially a swoop-in down the road is in play. But as for Wednesday’s decision it looks like it will be Auburn.
