Kalib Boone Announces Return to Oklahoma State
“22 is here to stay.”
It’s official, the Boone twins will play on different basketball teams next season.
Two days after Keylan Boone announced his intentions on entering the transfer portal, Kalib Boone announced he will stay at Oklahoma State.
In three seasons as a Cowboy, Kalib has appeared in 87 games, making 33 starts. His best season came as a sophomore in 2020-21. That season, Boone started 24 games and averaged 9.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks a game, all career-highs.
He did flash some of that as a junior this past season. Kalib dropped 20 points against NC State in the Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase. He also stuffed five shots in that game. His scored in double figures on six occasions as a junior.
Kalib and Keylan joined Oklahoma State out of Tulsa Memorial High School in the 2019 recruiting class. Kalib was a four-star prospect, and Keylan was a three-star standout. The twins were dominant with the Chargers, going 77-8 en route to three state titles.
