Langston Anderson Has All the Tools to Succeed at Outside Receiver for OSU
Let’s look at the tape (and the eye-popping measurables) of OSU’s latest receiver commit.
Langston Anderson’s recent commitment to Oklahoma State gives the Cowboys yet another stud receiver, bolstering an already strong unit of talented pass catchers. Anderson brings in the physical tools that could help him compete for early playing time.
Anderson’s verified vertical jump on 247sports is an insane 39.5 inches, as of this past April. To put that into context, that would have placed him T-2nd among wide receivers at the 2018 NFL Draft Combine.
Look how Anderson’s 247 numbers already stack up against former OSU Belitnikoff award winner James Washington’s combine results.
NAME | VERTICAL | 40 TIME | SHUTTLE |
Langston Anderson | 39.5 in | 4.57 sec | 4.25 sec |
James Washington | 34.5 in | 4.54 sec | 4.32 sec |
Anderson’s high-point ability quickly becomes apparent on his highlight reel, whether it be timing his stride and jump on the deep ball:
Or catching the ball in the end zone:
His highlights also showcase an impressive after-the-catch ability:
As well as an incredible catch radius:

As the video indicates, OSU has gotten themselves a talented player who has all the tools to excel as a flanker/split end. The Cowboys have churned out talented outside receiver after outside receiver. Anderson won’t likely command a starting role early, but there’s no reason why he can’t eventually become a major difference maker for the Pokes.
