Mike Boynton Pays Visit to see Four-star Point Guard Courtney Ramey
Mike Boynton’s Cowboys remain in the hunt for an NIT championship, which means duties such as practice, game-planning and scheming for the next game are as intense as they are in the regular season.
But Boynton made it a point on Saturday to take a bit of a break from the rush to hit the recruiting trail, where he saw four-star point guard Courtney Ramey, OSU’s top remaining target in the class of 2018.

Ramey has Oklahoma State among his top schools and, in a recent conversation with Rivals’ Corey Evans, the national analyst even pegged Ramey to be a slight Oklahoma State lean.
“At this point in time, he’s taken two visits so far: that was to Oklahoma State in December, and also to Texas,” said Evans. “So those are the two frontrunners right now, and I think Oklahoma State has an edge over Texas. But a lot of schools are trying to get in the mix.”
Brad Underwood and Illinois have ratcheted up their pursuit in recent weeks as has in-state Missouri, but he remains undecided on where he will attend college.
That will likely change soon, though. All indications point to Ramey picking a school and signing in the signing period in April, so Boynton’s last-ditch efforts to put OSU in his ear are important, and certainly won’t hurt when he sits down to make his college choice.
