OKC-Area Linebacker Recruit Donovan Stephens Sets Commitment Date
Stephens is considering OSU, Texas Tech and Baylor.

Class of 2021 linebacker recruit Donovan Stephens, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound prospect from Oklahoma, announced Thursday he’ll be making his college commitment next week on May 1.
Stephens hails from Del City High School in the Oklahoma City area. He’s picking between Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Baylor, with the Cowboys in good position to secure his services and add him to their 2021 class.
OSU was Stephens’ first offer a year ago last March and the staff has steadily been in pursuit since. He visited OSU on several occasions last summer and fall, including with his teammate Rejhan Tatum, who also holds an OSU offer.
Is there a Del City package in the works? Perhaps. The two have been a dynamite high school tandem and both have committable OSU offers on the table. They even visited together last summer — and were offered on the same day last spring.

Package deal or not, OSU looks to be in good position to secure Stephens next week barring a change of circumstances. His commitment would give OSU its second pledge of 2021 and second OLB pledge in the class alongside Kolbe Fields, who has been committed since January.
