Oklahoma State Offers Class of 2020 QB Jacolby Criswell

Oklahoma State struck out Wednesday at quarterback when Grant Gunnell, a four-star target in the 2019 class, committed to Arizona over OSU, tOSU, Texas A&M and a slew of others.

OSU had already been making contingency plans with the belief that Gunnell was already a lost cause. One of those emerged Wednesday in Arkansas product Jacolby Criswell, a class of 2020 dual-threat quarterback who announced an OSU offer.

Criswell is a 6-foot-1 dual-threat prospect from Morrilton, Ark., rated by 247Sports as a four-star prospect. He put up just shy of 2,000 yards passing and 1,000 yards rushing last season en route to garnering offers from Ole Miss, NC State, Memphis, Mississippi State and others.

As for what he’s looking for at the next level, Criswell told 247Sports recently that he’s seeking a family-like atmosphere that will embrace him.

“I’m looking for a school that not only welcomes me, but my family,” said Criswell. “I want to go to a school where the coaching staff is completely honest with me and I have a connection with them. I’m also looking for a program that feels like home.”

Arkansas has yet to offer, but it seems that could be the school that could significantly alter the complexion of his recruitment.

Criswell is the fifth QB target in the 2020 class as OSU has already extended offers to Jack Miller, TJ Finley, Hudson Card and Deuce Hogan.
