Oklahoma State Offers Five-Star Mater Dei OL Myles Murao
Myles Murao was one of a handful of new offensive line offers over the past week for Oklahoma State, so it’s easy to understand how his announced offer may have flown under the radar. But frankly, nothing about Murao is under the radar.
Murao is a five-star Class of 2020 prospect, which is plenty above the radar in its own right. As is the fact that he’s the No. 2 ranked offensive guard for Mater Dei in Santa Ana, Calif., one of the most talent-rich programs in the country. 247Sports pegs him as the No. 23 overall recruit in the 2020 class.
Murao has a double digit offer sheet that includes USC, Auburn, Washington, Oregon State, Oregon, LSU, UCLA, Utah and Colorado. After he announced the new OSU offer, 2018 signee Samuela Tuihalamaka and 2019 commit Xavier Ross both weighed in on Twitter, with recent pledge Ross encouraging Murao to “come home.”

Murao will have his choice of where he plays his college ball, being one of the top-ranked offensive linemen in the country, but the underrated part of the offer relates to Tuihalamaka’s tweet referencing Murao as “toko” — a reference to Murao’s Tongan descent.
OSU has had great success recruiting players of Tongan culture of late with Tuihalamaka being the most recent example, and guys like Vili Leveni and Mote Maile being perhaps some of the more successful examples.
