It would’ve been hard to imagine a few weeks ago that the Cowboys have clawed their way back to the fringes of the major college football polls.

Oklahoma State received votes in the AP Poll and Coaches Poll on Sunday. The Cowboys would be tied for 35th in an expanded AP Poll and tied for 32nd in an expanded Coaches Poll following OSU’s 39-32 win against a ranked Kansas team.

The Jayhawks’ loss means there are only two Big 12 teams in the Top 25 — and both are heading to the SEC. OU comes in at No. 6/7 while Texas sits at No. 8/8. The Big 12 does have an incoming school in the rankings with Utah at No. 14/14.

Kansas, West Virginia, OSU and Kansas State are in the receiving votes category on one poll or the other. The Mountaineers — OSU’s next opponent — is actually tied with OSU in the expanded AP Poll.

The Cowboys travel to Morgantown for a 2:30 p.m. kick on Saturday.
