Oklahoma State’s 2018 Class Could Be Getting Good News Soon

Oklahoma State pledge C.J. Moore sent a bat signal that had Cowboy nation buzzing on Tuesday night when, on Twitter, he #humblebragged that he knew something about OSU’s 2018 class that no one else did.

My DM’s immediately flooded in with some iteration of: “Did you see this?!” or “Who is he talking about?!”

Thanks a lot, C.J.!

In any case, in talking with OSU commits from their weekend official visit, I get the sense that this speculation is more than smoke — and it relates to 2018 3-star WR/S Sean Flanagan.

Flanagan is an Arkansas pledge who committed to the Hogs earlier this summer, but amid Bret Bielema’s recent firing, he’s wavering on his commitment. He made an official visit this past weekend to Oklahoma State — one that was largely kept under wraps — and has been hearing it from both ends from OSU commits trying to flip him ahead of the Dec. 20 signing day.

Although Flanagan did host new Arkansas coach Chad Morris for an in-home this week, I think OSU is well positioned to be the destination before he puts pen to paper for signing day. Based on conversations I’ve had, OSU recruits are confident they did enough this past weekend not only to put a bug in his ear about OSU, but to convince him that OSU — not Arkansas — is the place to be.

Flanagan remains committed to the Hogs, at least for now, but if he truly is wavering as heavily as many around him believe, OSU could be in line to secure a last minute steal in the form of a versatile 6-foot-2, 185-pound skill talent from Arkansas.
