Oklahoma State made a jump from No. 24 to 15 after taking down No. 17 Boise State at home on Saturday. The Broncos, one of six ranked teams to take an L, fell out of the top 25 entirely.

Week 4 AP Poll

10 Washington
11 Penn State
12 West Virginia

25 BYU

Oklahoma State has a chance to put together a nice little start to their season after getting past Boise unscathed. The Pokes should be favored in their next six games before heading to Norman for a November 10 Bedlam matchup.

Other movement in the Big 12

Oklahoma remains at No. 5 after its grind-out win in Ames.

West Virginia actually went from No. 14 to No. 12 after its game with N.C. State was postponed by Hurricane Florence.

TCU only dropped from No. 15 to 17 after the dramatic loss to Ohio State in Jerry’s World.

Texas. Is. Not. Back. in the top 25. The Longhorns took down No. 22 USC — another of the perennial overrated — but will apparently need to show voters a little more to get rid of that losing streak to Maryland taste in their mouths.

Additional note: Kansas is no threat to peak AP voters’ interest any time soon. But the Big 12’s basement dweller took down one of its lower-tier piers in Rutgers over the weekend. It’s the first > .500 record for the Jayhawks since their 2-1 start in 2014 and it’s their first win streak (two games) since 2011. Baby steps.
