OSU Pledge Kalib Boone Earns Four-Star Ranking, Keylan Boone Named Three-Star
When Keylan and Kalib Boone committed to Oklahoma State in mid-April as (mostly) unknown, unranked prospects from Tulsa Memorial, many believed it was only a matter of time before scouts and analysts stubbled upon their potential and put them into the rankings.
Those who thought that were proven right on Thursday after 247Sports updated its prospect rankings for 2019. The recruiting service elevated Kalib Boone from a three-star to a four-star prospect, and Keylan Boone from unranked to a three-star.
The boost puts Kalib as the No. 105 overall prospect in 2019, and twin Keylan at 217.
It’s a massive jump for the Boone twins, but based off the buzz they’ve generated on the AAU circuit of late, it’s none too surprising. Kalib has earned high praise from talent evaluators for his ability to block shots, and Keylan, too, has drawn praise for his ability to create off the dribble on the perimeter.
Their rise up the rankings should only help Mike Boynton and his staff build momentum as they craft the 2019 class. With the Boone’s now nationally ranked, the Cowboys boast a top-10 recruiting class that ranks second in the Big 12.
