OSU Recruiting: Late-Rising Junior College Prospect Picks up Offer
OSU looking to add experience to its front court in 2019.
Oklahoma State’s basketball staff has made an offer to late-rising junior college prospect Doudou Gueye in hopes of bolstering the roster in 2019 with experience.
Gueye, who is currently with Daytona State College, is a 6-foot-10, 245-pound big man.
The offer to Gueye isn’t inspiring on paper, but his offer sheet that includes Arkansas, Texas Tech, Seton Hall and East Carolina is. As is the fact that at Daytona, he’s averaging 10+ points and 6+ rebounds per game in close to 30 contests this season.
Adding Gueye would be a boost to OSU’s depleted frontcourt that saw Kentrevious Jones and Maurice Calloo get booted from the team earlier this year. With his experience and size, he could be a nice piece to complement Yor Anei, and potentially provide a bridge to the Kalib Boone era as he packs on pounds to become an impact player at the next level.
Update: We previously posted a video of — I can’t believe I’m typing this — the wrong Doudou Gueye. This is the proper one, and the guy can ball out.
