Oklahoma State’s coaches have been hard at it this week, extending several offers for the 2020 class and beyond. Let’s get right into a recap of the recruiting week that was starting with an intriguing rusher from Texas.

Myles Price

On Tuesday, Oklahoma State became the latest addition to a growing list of offers for the all-purpose back from The Colony, Texas. That list includes the likes of Washington State, Texas Tech, TCU and Arizona State. OSU has yet to receive a running back pledge for the 2020 class.

At 5-9 and 165 pounds, Price has some developing to do before he’s ready for the D-I level. He’s still got his senior year of high school to go and could be a candidate for a redshirt year depending on the remaining depth and talent pool in OSU’s backfield come next fall, which appears to be deep. Barring any departures, the Cowboys 2020 RB room will include Chuba Hubbard, Dezmon Jackson, LD Brown, Deondrick Glass, Jahmyl Jeter, and more!

Price, wide receiver Keith Miller and safety Christian Gonzalez, make up a trio of three-star prospects from The Colony that are all making visits together. Miller has been quoted as saying he expects that at least he and Price may be a package deal.

“We all take trips together,” Miller told 247. “I don’t know what Christian wants to do, but Myles and I are most likely going to go to the same school.”

OSU offered Gonzalez on April 1 but has yet to extend an offer to Miller, so this makes two of the three, but not the one quoted above. The Pokes aren’t exactly the clubhouse leader for Price, but this situation will be worth watching moving forward.

Jonah Miller

First-year OL coach Charlie Dickey is trying to make an early impression on quick-rising 2021 offensive tackle, Jonah Miller, whose recruitment has exploded over the last few months.

After receiving an offer from Arizona State in October, Colorado, Arizona, Nebraska and Texas have thrown their hats in the ring. On Wednesday, Oklahoma State joined the party.

Miller has yet to receive a 247 composite ranking, but it’s early and this athletic mauler is already been given a four-star designation by 247, which ranks him as the No. 24 OT in 2021 class.

Here’s what 247 recruiting analyst Blair Argulo had to say about Miller.

Broad-shouldered frame with strong lower half. Carries 285 pounds well, with plenty of room to add mass. Impressively agile for his size. Repeatedly reaches second level to open running lanes. Finishes blocks well with nasty streak. Physical off the point of attack. Uses hands well in pass protection. Top-notch run blocker who seals his gap. Could do better to maintain pad level through contact. Has to improve flexibility and slide his feet against speed rushers. Potential multi-year starter at Power Five level and NFL Draft Day 3 selection. [247]

Dickey recently secured 2020 guard Trent Pullen out of Waco, but a haul like Miller would be coup — or maybe just a sign of things to come. That remains to be seen, but Miller is definitely a prospect to watch.

David Abiara

The coaching staff is getting in early on a 2021 defensive end prospect from Mansfield, Texas in David Abiara.

Abiara is yet to earn a star, and there isn’t much analysis on him. His first offer came from Baylor on April 2, followed by Kansas on April 24 and OSU a day later.

But Abiara had a productive season for a sophomore in 2018, grabbing 23 tackles, six tackles for loss and a sack. At 6-4 and 230, he has the size. If he continues on his current trajectory, the offers (and the stars) should follow shortly.

Bennett Heading to Stillwater for Official Visit

Cade Bennett, a 2020 three-star tackle, announced via his Twitter account that he will be in Stilly at the end of May for his official visit.

The Cowboys extended an offer to the nasty under-the-radar trenchman earlier this month and will be rolling out the orange carpet to try and pry him out of Pac-12 territory.

Bennett is big at 6-4 and 300 pounds, strong (see below), but most importantly, he plays with a mean streak.
