David Taylor was courtside Tuesday night as the Oklahoma City Thunder pulled off some magic in the NBA playoffs, and now the Magic Man is adding to what is becoming a ridiculously deep 2026 recruiting class for the Cowboys.

Twins Jordyn and Jayden Raney announced their commitments to Oklahoma State on Thursday. In Flo’s most-recent ranking for the 2026 class, the Raneys are No. 5 (Jordyn) and No. 6 (Jayden) nationally. With Jax Forrest and Dreshaun Ross also committed to OSU in the class, that means Taylor has secured commitments from four of the top six wrestlers in the cycle.

The Raneys picked the Cowboys out of a top five of Oklahoma State, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio State and Nebraska.

“We’ve known David for a while now,” Jayden said on FRL. “We wrestled on his dual teams. He’s a super nice guy. We’ve just been talking to their entire team, and we feel like we got good connections with them. Obviously they’ve performed really well recently. Overall, we’ve always liked Oklahoma State. As soon as they called us, we kind of felt like right off that first phone call that they were gonna be a top contender the entire time. That’s where we wanted to go.”

Jayden is the highest-ranked junior in Flo’s 126-pound ranking, and Jordyn is the highest-ranked junior in Flo’s 138-pound ranking.

Between the two of them, the Raneys have won nine Kentucky high school state titles. In their most recent state runs, both pinned all five opponents they faced at the state tournament. Jayden was on the mat a combined 4:12. It took Jordyn 7:49 of wrestling to win his title.

Along with being excellent folkstyle and freestyle wrestlers, the Raneys also excel in Greco Roman. Jayden won the U.S. Open’s senior division in the discipline earlier this spring. He then went to the Pan American Championships representing the United States and won gold there, as well. He’ll represent the world team in Greco this year.

Jayden won gold at 55 kg in Greco Roman at the U17 World Championships in 2023 and 2024. Jordyn took bronze at the event at 60 kg in 2024, and he also made Team USA’s U17 World Team in freestyle last year, where he suffered a tight loss to the eventual champion in the semifinals. To make the freestyle team, Jordyn beat his twin in a best-of-three series.

OSU now has six commitments in its 2026 class with the Raneys joining Forrest, Ross, Kellen Wolbert (No. 36 on Flo’s 2026 big board) and Rocklin Zinkin (No. 100).

Forrest is a similar size to the Raneys, which could bring a question of how all the pieces fit, but it’s apparently something they’ve already discussed. Jayden said the plan, for now, is for him to wrestle at 133 and for Jordyn to wrestle at 149, which presumably (again, still a little more than a year from them getting to campus) puts Forrest at 141.

“We actually sent a text to Jax Forrest, just thinking what’s gonna work out for us,” Jordyn said. “So, we talked to him a little bit. We think it’s gonna be perfect. We’re gonna come in there, we’re gonna fit right in and we’re gonna have a pretty good team.”
