OU and Texas Clear Big 12 Title Favorites, Followed by OSU and Baylor
The two Big 12 title game contestants a season ago are not top two in odds to win the league.

Baylor and Oklahoma State met in the Big 12 title game last season, yet neither team — despite a ton of returning pieces for both programs — are among the top two in betting odds to win the league this season.
Caesars Sportsbook has odds posted on futures for who will win the Big 12, and OU and Texas — at +190 and +250, respectively — are the clear favorites to win the league as the season approaches. OSU is third at +450 and Baylor is fourth at +650.
TCU and Kansas State are next in their own tier at +1200, then on down there’s Iowa State, West Virginia and Texas Tech. Down in the basement is Kansas, which has so many zeros behind its odds that it’s dizzying. (One zero for each win in the last decade, I presume.)
TEAM | BIG 12 TITLE ODDS |
OU | +190 |
TEXAS | +250 |
OSU | +450 |
BAYLOR | +650 |
TCU | +1200 |
K-STATE | +1200 |
IOWA STATE | +2000 |
WEST VIRGINIA | +3500 |
TEXAS TECH | +5000 |
KANSAS | +30000 |
OSU and Baylor seem like the best values of the bunch, but it does seem pretty telling to me that OU and Texas are the betting favorites. Of those two, only OU (No. 9) was ranked in the preseason AP poll; Texas was not ranked. (Baylor was No. 10 and OSU was No. 12.)
