OU Offers In-State Running Back Marcus Major; Is OSU Next?

Published

on

The highlight film of Oklahoma City area running back Marcus Major has made its way all over the state of Oklahoma and beyond this month. Major, a 6-foot, 181-pound 2019 prospect from Millwood High School, has garnered offers from seven Division I schools, most recently the University of Oklahoma on Tuesday.

Despite making a visit to Oklahoma State for junior day earlier this month, he came away without an OSU offer. But with Iowa State, OU, Arkansas and Memphis coming in of late, will Oklahoma State be next?

To make a long guess short, probably.

Oklahoma State has a number of offers out for 2019 at tailback, most recently to Darwin Barlow of Newton High School in Texas. But with Major being down the road at Millwood High, where OSU has fished (and continues to fish for players) in 2018 and 2019, it’s a no-brainer that the Pokes will get involved soon.

Because his talent absolutely warrants it.

Also in 2019 is four-star receiver Demariyon Houston, another Millwood standout who has already picked up an OSU offer. So if OSU wants to keep both within the state and start pitching a packaged deal, I’d expect Major to be a Cowboy target sooner rather than later.
