Ranking the football uniforms: No. 15

Uniform No. 15: Gray-Black-Gray
Worn: Home against Kansas St.
Result: Win, 52-45[1. Just typing this still gives me the shakes. This was the one we should have lost, not Iowa State.]

The black top-gray pants combo is fantastic but I think you have to go black helmets with this one. Or maybe even the carbon fiber helmets. Just not the Lego helmets. Now that I think about it, a black-black-gray combination could conceivably crack my top seven right now. I hope they wear that this year.

While we’re here, I got an email from fashion extraordinaire Chad Ward (my old college roommate) the other day reminding me (and all of us that gray is, in fact, an official Oklahoma State color according to the style guide on okstate.com.

I’m sorry for those of you who loathe the gray the way Nick Saban loathes the forward pass.

I know this is traumatic for you.
