The Reload: OSU Visiting Top Hoops Recruit, Bryce Bray Lifts Big
The Reload is PFB’s recruiting recap catching you up to speed with the latest Oklahoma State recruiting news, with an ear to the ground for what to expect.
OSU paying visit to four-star center David McCormack
The OSU coaching staff will be in Richmond, Virginia on July 22 and 23 (this coming Saturday and Sunday) to see Team Loaded on the AAU circuit, where 2018 four-star big man David McCormack will be showcasing his talents live.
In addition to the Cowboys, Duke, Kentucky, Villanova, Georgia, Virginia and Miami, among a handful of others, will also be on hand in large part to watch the 6-foot-9 big man who is ranked as the No. 2 center prospect in the 2018 class.
According to the Herald-Leader, McCormack plans to trim his list this summer, and OSU figures to be at the top going into the back end of the summer.
Team Loaded NC product Nate Hinton offered by OSU
Four-star big man McCormack is a Team Loaded Virginia AAU player, but the Cowboys aren’t partial to Virginians, as they extended an offer to Team Loaded North Carolina guard Nate Hinton, who has been one of the breakout players of the July evaluation periods.
Hinton is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard who has blown up this month with offers from Pitt, Maryland, OSU, and Minnesota to go with previous offers from Indiana, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Wichita State, VCU and UMass.
“He’s got long arms, very good athlete, and actually plays on the ball with his team. He had back-to-back strong efforts in Spartanburg this week,” Scout’s Evan Daniels said this week. OSU, notably, was among the schools to see him live and offered a scholarship afterwards.
OSU offers 2019 running back Tyrion Davis
Oklahoma State’s efforts in recruiting running back talent in the 2018 class has been empty thus far, but the coaching staff is already looking to 2019 with a new offer on Wednesday to Baton Rouge area prospect Tyrion Davis. Being a Louisiana native, Davis has already received an offer — and committed — to his in-state LSU program. But that didn’t stop OSU from extending a scholarship to go with other offers from the likes of Alabama, Miami and others.
The offer to Davis is offer No. 6 in total at the running back for the 2019 class in addition to big names of Noah Cain, Deondrick Glass, Jerrion Ealy, Isaiah Spiller and Deion Hankins.
OSU has pried away commitments from LSU in the past, most notably when running back Sione Palelei flipped to OSU in the 2014 class, but this would be quite the steal for Mike Gundy’s program.
Bryce Bray lifts big
This is Bryce Bray, OSU’s highest rated recruit among its five committed offensive linemen. He is very, very strong.

Bray is a highly-rated three-star offensive guard from Bixby, who chose the Cowboys over OU, Iowa State, TU and Nevada.
