For about a week, Kashie Natt’s basketball future was somewhat up in the air, but it looks as if he will don the orange and black this season.

A judge signed an ex parte order that permits Natt to immediately resume full activities with the Oklahoma State basketball team, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. This comes after Natt transferred to Oklahoma State from Sam Houston this offseason just for the NCAA to cancel his eligibility waiver. But now with this judge intervening, Natt is back.

Natt’s eligibility questions arose because of his unique path to high-major basketball. Natt started his college career at Southern University-Shreveport, a JUCO in his home state of Louisiana. He then spent three seasons at NAIA LSU-Alexandria, where he was the 2025 NAIA National Player of the Year and a two-time All-American. He averaged 19.9 points and 10.1 rebounds a game in his final season at the NAIA level.

It’s a big boon for the Cowboys, as Natt enters his tenure in Stillwater as the reigning Conference-USA Defensive Player of the Year. In his lone season at Sam Houston, the 6-foot-3 Natt averaged 10.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.0 steals a game while shooting 38% from 3.

And it’s not just on the floor that Natt will help. OSU coach Steve Lutz mentioned earlier this summer that Natt had made an impact in leadership since arriving in Stillwater.

“He’s an unbelievable human being,” Lutz said. “He’s constantly bringing energy. He’s constantly bringing energy. Today, we started off practice … you get a towel, and you have hold the towel over your head. And then you have to do step slides, defensive step slides, like old school. I’ve never really said you have to say ‘ball’ or you have to say whatever, and Kashie decided, ‘Hey, coach, we’re gonna call ball, ball, ball, ball.’ Well, it’s contagious, and he’s just got that personality. So, it’s been enjoyable.”
