Report: Oklahoma State Lands Former Miami Safety Markeith Williams
The Pokes add a former four-star DB with three years of experience.
The Cowboys’ secondary just added some speed and experience.
Former Miami safety Markeith Williams is expected to transfer to Oklahoma State, according to a report by 247 Sports. Williams also posted this to Instagram on Sunday from his visit to OSU.

The 6-foot-, 170-pound safety is a three-star prospect according to 247Sports’ transfer portal rankings and the No. 104 ranked safety. He should come to Stillwater with two years of eligibility remaining.
A four-star prospect out of Orlando, Florida, Williams signed with Miami over offers from the likes of Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia a couple dozen other schools. He was consensus Top 300 prospect in the 2022 class and a Top 25 safety according to 247 and ESPN. He also ran track in high school.
Williams saw action in four games a true freshman before taking a redshirt in 2022 but appeared in 11 games as a redshirt frosh and 13 games as a sophomore in 2024, totaling 17 tackles, a tackle for loss and two passes deflected. He announced that he was entering the transfer portal in September of 2025 and did not appear in any games for the Hurricanes.
