Report: Safety Cameron Epps Withdrawing Name from Transfer Portal
Epps started 10 games in 2023.
Upon further review, Cameron Epps will stay a Cowboy.
Epps had appeared on an updated 2026 roster Oklahoma State had set up, and now 247Sports’ McClain Baxley reports that Epps is withdrawing his name from the transfer portal after he entered in October following Mike Gundy’s firing. A 6-foot-2, 210 pound safety, Epps has been in Stillwater since his redshirt year in 2022.
Epps played in just two games for OSU in 2025 and missed much of the back half of the 2024 season because of injury.
But back in 2023, Epps played in all of Oklahoma State’s games as a redshirt freshman, starting 10. That season saw him make 40 tackles and intercept three passes. He returned one of those interceptions for a touchdown against Kansas State.
For his career, Epps has made 54 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions and five pass breakups.
Epps came to OSU by way of Chaminade High School in St. Louis. He was the No. 515 player in the 2022 recruiting class and initially came to Stillwater as a jumbo corner. He chose the Cowboys back then over offers from Arkansas, Kansas State, Louisville, Michigan State and others.
If you include this as a portal addition for Morris and Co, Epps is the fourth safety OSU has added via the portal. He joins Quinton Hammonds (North Texas), Evan Jackson (North Texas) and Vincent Holmes (Washington).
OSU is up to 45 portal additions if you include Epps and 44 if you don’t.
