The Reload is PFB’s recruiting recap catching you up to speed with the latest Oklahoma State recruiting news, with an ear to the ground for what to expect in the future.

Former Vols pledge eyeing OSU official

In the wake of a wave of uncertainty in Knoxville, four-star running back Lyn-J Dixon decommitted from Tennessee last month and is now planning four official visits as he sets his sights on a potential  tnew destination.

According to Rivals.com, Oklahoma State is among those lucky enough to land an official visit, along with Louisville, Tennessee and Clemson. He’ll be in Stillwater the weekend of Dec. 15, a week after his Louisville trip. But his official visit tour kicks off this weekend as he heads to Clemson, a school considered one of the frontrunners following his decision to open up his recruitment.

Dixon could use his fifth allowed visit to Michigan State, the school rounding out his new top five, however he’s waiting until his visits play out to find a good date to make it up to East Lansing.

Oklahoma State has but one running back pledge in the Class of 2018 in Jahmyl Jeter, a stnadout from San Antonio who committed to OSU over Texas A&M back in August. And while the position appears set for the foreseeable future with Justice Hill, J.D. King and Chuba Hubbard, an extra body — potentially to prepare for the early NFL Draft entry of Justice Hill in 2018? — would be smart planning for the Cowboy coaching staff.

OSU Chasing JUCO Corner From Arizona

Oklahoma State extended an official offer to Haki Woods, a Pima Community College cornerback from Tucson, Arizona this week. Woods is a three-star prospect who originally committed to the University of Arizona before decommitting last month. He also holds an offer from Oregon.

Woods, listed as a Class of 2018 prospect, is a Dec. 2017 graduate, so he could arrive on campus as early as the spring 2018 semester as OSU aims to add a veteran presence alongside rising youngsters A.J. Green and Rodarius Williams.

OSU has one true cornerback committed in the Class of 2018 in Cibolo Steele’s JayVeon Cardwell. Athletes Gabe Lemons and Jaelyn Nolan are also expected to play on the defensive side of the ball for the Pokes, however both are fairly inexperienced; Woods could provide the stability OSU was likely hoping to get from now-departed Clemson graduate transfer Adrian Baker.
