Three-Star DT Enoch Jackson Includes OSU Among Top Six Schools

Three-star defensive tackle Enoch Jackson, a 6-foot, 290-pound prospect from Mansfield Legacy High School in Mansfield, Texas, announced this weekend that he has trimmed his list of schools to six.

His list, which he says is of the schools he’s solely focusing on now, is Oklahoma State, Georgia, Texas Tech, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Iowa. He eliminated Florida, Houston, Indiana, Kansas State, Missouri and a handful of others recently after naming a top eight schools just less than a month ago.

Jackson logged 52 tackles, 19 for loss, and 6 sacks en route to earning defensive MVP honors for Mansfield Legacy last season. A top-50 player at his position according to 247Sports, he’s ranked as the 89th best overall player in the state of Texas.

Defensive tackle has been a big priority for OSU in the 2019 cycle and thus far that attention has paid dividends for defensive line coaches Greg Richmond and Joe Bob Clements, as they’ve already landed commitments from Jayden Jernigan and Xavier Ross, as well as defensive end prospects Isreal-Isuman-Hundley and Kody Walterscheid.

Jackson could be a nice addition to the DT class to help supplement the eventual losses of Enoch Smith Jr., Darrion Daniels, Trey Carter and Taaj Bakari, the latter of whom is no longer on the roster after making an impact last season for the Cowboys as an underclassman.
