Three-Star Safety Jotavion Pierce Commits to Oklahoma State
Pierce had a strong offer list filled with SEC schools.
A quick aside from the portal hustle and bustle, the Cowboys picked up a commitment from a high school safety on Saturday morning.
Jotavion Pierce, a three-star prospect out of Montgomery, Alabama, announced his commitment to Oklahoma State. Along with his OSU offer, Pierce had announced offers to Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi State, UCF, Ole Miss, Penn State and others. He was previously committed to Tulane.

Listed at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, Pierce played his high school ball at Montgomery Catholic Prep. His Knights went 14-0 this past season, winning an Alabama 5A state title. According to MaxPreps, Pierce had 76 tackles in his senior season, including four tackles for loss. He also recorded eight interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He played a little offense, too, with 30 rush attempts for 171 yards and six touchdowns.
Pierce announced an OSU offer in mid-November and took a visit to Stillwater not long after. He committed to Tulane in June but decommitted in early December — not long after his OSU visit.
Pierce is listed as the No. 655 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the 2025 class. That makes him the No. 57 safety in the class and the No. 30 player from Alabama. His 88 rating from 247Sports puts him among OSU’s best prospects in the class — tied with wide receiver Kameron Powell behind only defensive lineman Michael Riles (89) and linebacker Carl’veon Young (91). Pierce joins signees Kobi Foreman, Ayden Webb and Draden Fullbright as incoming freshmen expected to play defensive back in Stillwater. He’s the 16th high school player in the Cowboys’ 2025 class overall.
