Top-40 Ranked Point Guard Elijah Weaver Sets Official Visit to OSU

The ninth-ranked point guard in the Class of 2018 will take an official visit to Stillwater this fall, Jeff Borzello of ESPN reports.
Elijah Weaver, a top-40 national talent from Oldsmar, Fla., with 26 scholarship offers from the likes of Florida, Villanova, USC and others, will make the visit on September 23 — the same day the Cowboy football team welcomes in the TCU Horned Frogs.
Weaver has already set official visits to USC, Florida and Ohio State, so with his planned visit to Stillwater, he’ll have one final destination to choose from as far as visiting on an official basis.
With OSU earning an official visit, it unofficially puts Mike Boynton’s Cowboys in Weaver’s top five schools — surviving another cut from his recent trimmed list of top 12.
Weaver is a left-handed phenom who attends Oldsmar Christian (Fla.) and plays for Team Breakdown on the AAU circuit. He’s a big-bodied guard at 6-foot-4 who has a game that resembles that of Marcus Smart. He’s physical, strong, and a plus-player on both sides of the floor.
According to Prep Circuit, Weaver lead his team at Oldsmar Christian by averaging 16.8 points and 6.4 assists per game last season.
