Which Former Oklahoma State Players Will the Cowboys Face This Season?

Oklahoma State fans have enough on their plate when it comes to learning the 80 new players on the Cowboys’ roster to know that there are 15 former Pokes on OSU’s schedule this season.

With Week 0 just days away, here’s a look at which former Cowboys OSU will run up against in 2026.

Tulsa (3)

Davis Dotson (OL) — Out of Berryhill, Dotson spent the past three seasons at Oklahoma State, playing in 19 games as a Cowboy. Most of his time was spent on special teams, with Dotson playing 33 offensive snaps, per PFF.

Ty Williams (STAR) — This marks Williams’ second season at Tulsa after he was in Stillwater from 2021-24. He played in 12 games for Tulsa last season, finishing the year with five tackles. Out of Muskogee, Williams was a four-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class, initially picking OSU over offers from Arkansas, Colorado, Texas Tech, TCU and others.

Kyran Duhon (DL) — Duhon earned Second Team All-Conference USA honors in 2024 and was tabbed as a freshman All-American by The Athletic while at UTEP. He then transferred to Oklahoma State ahead of last season, where he played in 11 games and made 16 tackles and two tackles for loss.

West Virginia (1)

Jaden Bray (WR) — In what feels like a lifetime ago, Jaden Bray had a touchdown catch in Oklahoma State’s Fiesta Bowl win against Notre Dame back during the 2021 season. Injuries have been an issue for Bray since, as he played just three games for the Cowboys in 2022. Across his three seasons with the Cowboys, Bray caught 48 balls for 686 yards and four touchdowns.

This is his third year at West Virginia because injuries have again been an issue. He’s played in seven games with the Mountaineers in his first two seasons, catching nine passes for 183 yards. If Bray can stay healthy, expect him to be a big part of WVU’s offense in 2026.

UCF (1)

Grayson Brousseau (TE) — After redshirting at Utah State in 2024, Brousseau was in Stillwater last season, where he played in all 12 of the Cowboys games and started twice. He caught seven passes for 45 yards and made the move to Orlando alongside OSU alum Cooper Bassett, who coached OSU’s offensive line last season and now coaches the UCF tight ends.

Houston (1)

De’Marion Thomas (DL) — A Union High alum, Thomas spent part of last season at Oklahoma State after starting his college career at Vanderbilt. He played just four games for the Cowboys before the season went to crap, finishing with 13 tackles. Across 23 games in his two seasons at Vandy, Thomas had 41 tackles.

Colorado (1)

Yamil Talib (DE) — Talib was a walk-on at Oklahoma State back in 2024, where he played in OSU’s loss at TCU that year. He spent last season at Charlotte with former OSU defensive coordinator Bryan Nardo and has now re-emerged at Colorado. While at Charlotte last season, Talib made 28 tackles, four tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and an INT. That INT came against none other than Drew Mestemaker. Mestemaker did, though, throw for 608 yards that day.

Iowa State (2)

Zane Flores (QB) — Flores played in nine games and made eight starts at quarterback for the Cowboys last season, his third year in Stillwater. He completed 60% of his 266 pass attempts for 1,490 yards, three touchdowns and seven interceptions. It doesn’t look as if Flores will be the Cyclones’ starter this year. That honor will go to Arkansas State transfer Jaylen Raynor, but like with his time in Stillwater, Flores could be just a play away.

Jordan Vyborny (TE) — Vyborny was a tight end prospect out of Corner Canyon (Utah) who was with the Cowboys last season, where he redshirted.

Kansas State (4)

Wendell Gregory (DE) — There probably isn’t a contingent of more impactful former Pokes than the group that made its way up to Manhattan.

Wendell Gregory was probably the Cowboys’ best player last season. The coaches named him Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year, as Gregory finished with 27 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and four sacks. Gregory redshirted at South Carolina in 2024.

Rodney Fields Jr. (RB) — Likewise, Fields was probably the Cowboys’ best offensive player last season. As a redshirt freshman running back, Fields ran for 614 yards and a touchdown in nine games. He also had 276 receiving yards and other score. Fields is expected to contribute to K-State’s rushing attack alongside returner Joe Jackson, who ran for 911 yards and eight touchdowns last season.

Jacobi Oliphant Jr. (LB) — Once a jumbo defensive back, Oliphant started playing closer to the line of scrimmage last season and is a listed linebacker at K-State. Oliphant played in all dozen of OSU’s games last season, his second year with the program, where he made 26 tackles, two sacks and had a PBU.

Jaxson Duffield (LS) — A long snapper from Owasso, Duffield spent his freshman season at OSU in 2025 but didn’t see any in-game action.

Arizona State (1)

Lyrik Rawls (DB) — Rawls is at his third Big 12 school after spending four seasons at OSU (2021-24) and last season at Kansas. In his four years as a Cowboy, Rawls took part in 29 games and finished with 67 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack and two interceptions. With the Jayhawks last season, he made 73 tackles and an interception in 12 games.

Kansas (1)

Kasen Carpenter (OL) — Carpenter played in seven games and made two starts at center as a true sophomore for the Cowboys last season. He spent his freshman season at Tulsa in 2024, where he played in all 12 of TU’s games and made 11 starts at center.
