6-foot-8, 325-Pound Offensive Tackle Kai Holec Commits to Oklahoma State
Holec has three years of eligibility remaining.
Kai Holec played for the Sycamores in 2025, which was fitting because he’s just about the size of one.
Holec, a 6-foot-8, 325-pound offensive lineman from Indiana State, announced his commitment to Oklahoma State via his Instagram. Holec was a redshirt freshman in 2025, playing 64 snaps across seven games, per PFF.
The Cowboys moved quickly to secure Holec’s commitment, as he announced he had received an OSU offer on Sunday.
A Seattle native, Holec started his college career at San Diego State, where he took a redshirt before transferring to Indiana State.
He’s from O’Dea High School and was a three-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class. 247Sports considered Holec the No. 81 tackle in that class and the No. 15 player from the state of Washington. He initially chose the Aztecs over offers from Louisville, Idaho and Portland State.
This marks the ninth offensive lineman OSU has gotten out of the portal this window. Holec joins Desmond Magiya (North Texas), Braydon Nelson (North Texas), Johnny Dickson (North Texas), Tyler Mercer (Kansas), Jacob Sexton (Oklahoma), Joseph Hanson (Coastal Carolina), Ashton Lepo (Michigan State) and Shaun Torgeson (Portland State) as committed offensive linemen.
