Report: Portland State Offensive Line Transfer Shaun Torgeson Commits to Oklahoma State
OSU adds a young lineman with starting experience at the FCS level.
The Cowboys had one more late-night commitment to close out the weekend.
Shaun Torgeson signed with Oklahoma State, according to 247Sports’ McClain Baxley. Torgeson jumps up from the FCS level after starting 12 games at left tackle for Portland State last season as a redshirt freshman. He should have three seasons of eligibility left.
Listed at 6-foot-4, 290 pounds, Torgeson allowed two sacks this season in 411 opportunities, according to PFF.
Torgeson is from Ventura, California by way of St. Bonaventure High School. 247Sports listed him as a three-star prospect. He chose Portland State over an offer from Air Force.
He played in four games as a true freshman at Portland State in 2024 while maintaining a redshirt. Playing primarily at left guard that year, he didn’t allow a sack in 77 opportunities, per PFF.
This makes eight offensive linemen Eric Morris and OL coach Cody Crill have added via the transfer portal. Here’s the list:
Desmond Magiya (North Texas)
Braydon Nelson (North Texas)
Johnny Dickson (North Texas)
Tyler Mercer (Kansas)
Jacob Sexton (Oklahoma)
Joseph Hanson (Coastal Carolina)
Ashton Lepo (Michigan State)
Shaun Torgeson (Portland State)
