Oklahoma State Earns 2-Seed in NIT, Will Play Florida Gulf Coast in GIA
The Cowboys did not make the field of 68 teams going dancing in March, but there is still more basketball.
Oklahoma State (19-14) has been named a No. 2 seed in the National Invitational Tournament and will host 7th seed, Florida Gulf-Coast (23-11).
Also of note, the NIT will once again be a test kitchen for some potential rule changes. Here are the tweaks that the NCAA will try out during this tournament.
- Four 10-minute quarters
- Lane will be extended to 16 feet
- 3-point line will be extended by 1 foot, 8 inches to match the NBA’s
- Shot clock will reset to 20 seconds after offensive rebounds
The Cowboys will host the Eagles inside Gallagher-Iba Arena on Tuesday at 8 p.m. Central Time.
