The former Oklahoma State basketball player committed to Texas Southern on Tuesday in a Twitter post.
The time away from basketball has given me the opportunity to learn, grow, and mature. I cannot thank my family enough for their support through this process.

Weathers was dismissed from OSU’s basketball program on Jan. 16, along with Maurice Calloo and Kentrevious Jones for an incident that ended with the three getting charged with malicious injury to property.
“The time away has given me the opportunity to ponder over my past mistakes and help me focus on my future,” Weathers tweeted. “I’ve had to learn some hard lessons over the last few months. I cannot thank my family and support system enough for being my rock and my foundation. I am forever grateful for the people that I’ve been blessed to have in my corner.”
This will be Weathers’ third program he has been a part of. He started his collegiate career at Miami (Ohio), where he was the MAC Freshman of the Year after averaging 16.6 points, 4.8 assists and 4.2 rebounds a game. He sat on the OSU bench for the 2017-18 season because of NCAA transfer rules. At OSU last season, Weathers played in 16 games where he averaged 9.8 points per before being dismissed.
In late January, Weathers committed to Nicholls State before decommitting Feb. 19.
Texas Southern went 24-14 last season, picking up wins against Baylor, Oregon and Texas A&M.
