In-State Running Back Isaiah Jacobs Names OSU Among Top 5 Schools
OSU is in the mix to keep a top in-state talent in the state.
One of the top talents in the state of Oklahoma is strongly considering staying home to play his college ball.
Three-star Class of 2020 running back Isaiah Jacobs, the No. 11 prospect in the state and the third-ranked running back in Oklahoma, announced this week a top five list that includes Oklahoma State along with Maryland, Michigan, Ole Miss and Arkansas.

The 5-foot-10, 195 pound Jacobs hails from Owasso. And boy, does he have a pedigree. His older brother is Josh Jacobs, the former Tulsa McLain star quarterback who played at Alabama as a running back. Jacobs was a first-round pick this summer by the Oakland Raiders.
For reasons that remain unclear, OSU never offered the elder Jacobs, but this time around, OSU has been heavily involved. Oklahoma State offered Isaiah earlier this spring, and since then he’s visited the OSU campus on several occasions.
OSU is in dire need of a running back (or two) this cycle, but it hasn’t come just yet. Later Sunday, OSU will find out its fate with four-star running back Daniyel Ngata, but regardless of his decision — due to the potential loss of Chuba Hubbard to the NFL — OSU could decide to take two running backs in the class.
