Today’s Bullets
• This is a good, interesting take on how COVID-19 is laying bare the hilariousness of amateur athletics.
• How do you go from hype to the reality of success? Jenni Carlson on an OSU team full of promise that has to, you know, actually go and do the thing.
• This from Berry Tramel on the relationship between the Suttons and Bobiks is really good.
“It was a moving experience to be together,” Daniel Bobik told the Oklahoman. “Someone who was near and dear to our heart. Just realizing how much both my dad and I love him. How much we owe him for molding and shaping us. Our lives would be much different if it weren’t for Coach.
“Coach made me and my dad a better father. It was a very touching and moving experience, basically to just hold his hand. We looked at him, told him we loved him. An experience I know I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.”
• Loved my convo with Doug Shivers on Friday about OSU history and memorabilia.

• Here’s a sampling of Shivers’ work.
Ken Roof, left, and brother Ed on #NationalSiblingsDay. Ken succeeded Bob Fenimore in the Okla A&M backfield, started alongside Ed in the late 1940s, and had a legendary coaching career at Thomas after graduating. #okstate #GoPokes pic.twitter.com/VQKs4xiP1E

Also, this is just sick.
Bummed we don’t have our spring game today… A casualty of the pandemic includes this schedule poster with ample room for young fans to get autographs from their favorite players… Hopefully there’s an opportunity for them to reemerge. Stay safe everyone! #gopokes #okstate pic.twitter.com/nwzkxbxnd8

• OSU notches eight wrestling All-Americans.
• This fascinates me. The G League is … forming a new team around Jalen Green?
• Tylan as the sixth-best WR in college football this season, according to PFF.
• This on potential OL for OSU to sign is good.
What I’m Reading (Watching)
• Finished Family Worship by Don Whitney. I love short books, and this one is great.
• Almost finished Mysterious Benedict Society with our oldest.
• Reading: Why We’re Polarized and A Horse and His Boy.
