Daily Bullets (Feb. 9): Pokes Extend Streak to Four, Spencer Sanders Leaving Wasn’t Unusual
Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news.

OSU Bullets
• The Pokes found a way to win over the last-place Red Raiders last night, pushed their winning streak to four, coming out on top of six of the last seven games (PFB)
As an aside – how do we feel about the Dust Bowl moniker for OSU-Texas Tech games?
• Who has to step up with Avery Anderson out? (TulsaWorld)
• It seemed so unusual for a quarterback like Spencer Sanders, with so much tenure at one place, to transfer but leave it to Berry Tramel to frame the context within college football:
We just know that it’s a sign of the times. Sam Hartman left Wake Forest for Notre Dame after throwing 1,597 Demon Deacon passes. Brennan Armstrong left Virginia for North Carolina State after throwing 1,131 Cavalier passes. Devin Leary left N.C. State for Kentucky after throwing Wolfpack 944 passes.
So Sanders doesn’t stick out after leaving OSU for Ole Miss after throwing 1,254 Cowboy passes.

• Three new guys ready to impact Cowboy Baseball (O’Colly)
• A few recruiting updates yesterday for Cowboy Football:
– OSU offered a 2024 quarterback
– Malcolm Rodriguez’s little brother committed to play for the Pokes yesterday
– Korie Black (OSU’s starting cornerback) has a little brother who’s the top-ranked recruit in Texas
• Something is brewing in Stillwater – a veteran team is ready to compete.
Non-OSU Bullets
• Finding margin
• David Baldacci books are my guilty pleasure reads – this one was ok, this one was better
