Daily Bullets (Dec. 14): Jaden Nixon Hit the Portal
Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news.
OSU Bullets
• Recruitment/portal updates: running back Jaden Nixon entered the portal, Kobe Black (four-star brother of Cowboy corner Korie Black) committed to Texas yesterday (PFB)
• Cowgirls are taking on Southern Illinois this weekend, helping to avenge the Cowboys’ loss (TulsaWorld)
• What does Jaden Nixon’s portal entrance mean for the Pokes? Backup Sesi Vailahi is due more snaps in the bowl game and beyond.
Third stringer Elijah Collins will exhaust his eligibility following the bowl game, meaning OSU will lose another running back this offseason. Del City’s Rodney Fields is committed and expected to sign in a week. But the Cowboys could again look to the portal to replace Nixon.
• Here are the rankings of all Cowboy wrestlers currently (X)
• Third in FBS in pass attempts! Would not of guessed that about OSU Football in 2023:
Interesting stat: #OKState ranked third in the FBS with 520 pass attempts this season.

That is already the second-most in a single season for the Cowboys since 2011 with the bowl game still to go.
