Israeli Guard Daniel Guetta Commits to Oklahoma State

Steve Lutz filled one of his final two roster spots Sunday morning with the addition of an overseas guard.

Daniel Guetta, a 6-foot-2 guard from Israel, pledged to Oklahoma State, according to Jon Chepkevich. Playing with Maccabi Rehovot this past season in Israel, Guetta averaged 9.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists a game while shooting 35% from 3. Guetta will be 22 in August.

“Daniel is a poised, unselfish guard who knows how to run a team,” Lutz said in OSU’s release. “He controls pace, sees the floor well, and knows how to get others involved. He’ll be a valuable piece in our backcourt.”

He scored a season-high 24 points in a game back in April, a game Guetta went 3-for-6 from 3-point range in while also dishing seven assists. He also had a 10-point, 12-assist double-double in December and scored in double figures 14 times in 35 games. He had at least five assists in 18 games.

OSU offered him earlier this month.

Guetta adds to a group of international flavor Lutz has recruited. The 2025-26 Cowboys will also feature Serbian Andrija Vukovic, Greek Lefteris Mantzoukas, Iranian Parsa Fallah and Nigerian Ben Ahmed.
