Daily Bullets (Jan. 7): Pokes Land Stud Linebacker, Beat Top-25 UCF
Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news.
OSU Bullets
• Five nice portal additions to highlight from yesterday – starting with landing UNT’s best defender and leading tackler, followed by an All-MAC wide receiver, a UNT offensive lineman via KU, a Texas Tech cornerback, and a defensive lineman from Louisville (PFB)
• Really impressive stuff from Cowboy Basketball last night – securing their first Big 12 win over top-25 UCF in Stillwater (PFB)
• Fascinating to see – a small handful of college football teams landed talent like the Cowboys have this offseason (so far), and this conclusion about them is fascinating.
The starting points are far from the same, but as the portal (and the playoff) gets bigger, the ability to turn things around in only one season has grown exponentially. [PFB]
• Former Cowboy Armstrong Nnodim is headed to Penn State after entering the portal this week (X) Concerning the current roster – guard Louie Canepa was retained, Gavin Freeman entered the portal (X + PFB)
• Awesome for former Cowboy Cooper Basset getting on as an assistant at UCF (X)
• Congrats to Terry Miller and Matt Holliday for getting into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame:
