Three-star Texas Tailback Ta’Zhawn Henry Names OSU in Top 6
Oklahoma State has yet to land a running back in the 2018 class, but the staff could be nearing a commitment soon.
Three-star running back Ta’Zhawn Henry of Lamar High School in Houston trimmed his list of top schools from 12 to six on Monday and OSU, along with Texas A&M, TCU, Oregon State, Houston and Iowa State.
Strangely enough, neither Texas A&M nor Oklahoma State have extended an offer — at least not yet — according to both his 247Sports and Rivals profiles. But that hasn’t stopped him from including both in his top schools at every turn, just as he did when he dropped a top 12 that the two were included in several months ago.
The 5-foot-8 all-purpose back has more than 20 scholarship offers and most recently collected one from TCU. He’s been a very productive player for Lamar High School, recording consecutive 1,400-yard rushing seasons as both a sophomore and a junior, and perhaps OSU — which does have interest in Henry — could be next on his offer sheet.
The Cowboys recently missed on four-star target Keaontay Ingram but are currently in the top schools for Georgia standouts Lyn-J Dixon and James Graham.
