Allen DT Jayden Jernigan Locks in Oklahoma State Official Visit
Three-star defensive tackle Jayden Jernigan is a wanted man in the 2019 class.
The 6-1, 280-pound run-stuffer from Allen, Texas has close to 20 scholarship offers from all over the country. Schools like Oregon, Colorado, Washington and others have already hopped in the mix, and he’s still feeling out his recruitment.
As such, he’s in a window where he can evaluate some of his potential landing spots, beginning with Oklahoma State. Jernigan announced this week that he will pay OSU an official visit on April 28 — his first official and only one of his five allowed per NCAA guidelines.
That means he will be on campus to get a good, hard look at OSU for its spring game.
It also means that, perhaps by defeault, OSU is in his unofficial top five schools. Most prospects only take official visits they are seriously considering, especially given the fact that the NCAA only allows five.
Jernigan’s official comes just shortly after he made an unofficial visit to Stillwater earlier this spring.
He has other official visits upcoming to Oregon and Washington, too, but the fact that OSU remains in the mix for a stud prospect at a position of high importance in 2019 is encouraging.
Oklahoma State has three commitments in the 2019 class in Grayson Boomer, Tom Hutton and Demarco Jones.
