Boynton Visits Four-star PG Target and Former Louisville Commit
Oklahoma State has commitments from two power forwards for its 2018 recruiting class in Duncan Demuth and Yor Anei. The only major area needing addressed immediately is point guard, where head coach Mike Boynton was focusing his efforts on Sunday.
According to Evan Daniels of Scout, Boynton made an in-home visit to 2018 point guard Courtney Ramey on Sunday — a four-star prospect who was previously committed to Louisville before Rick Pitino’s ouster spurred him to open up his options.

Needless to say, a commitment from Ramey for OSU would be a … boon. (No pun intended, sorry.) The Pokes have a wave of momentum on the recruiting trail for 2018 after adding its two commitments this month, however missing on PG target Ayo Dosunmu and Elijah Weaver leaves OSU in a peculiar spot at the floor general position.
Ramey is a 6-foot-3 point guard rated as the 37th overall player in 2018, and the No. 8 at his respective position. The young man out of Saint Louis hasn’t ruled out Louisville in his recruitment even in the wake of the FBI investigation that led to Pitino’s ouster, however right now it’s in-state Missouri which appears to have taken a lead in his recruitment, with OSU, Purdue, Texas and Ohio State all in the mix as well.
