Cowgirl Hoops: Stailee Heard Announces Return to Oklahoma State for Senior Season
Stailee is back.
Friday wasn’t all bad news for the Cowgirls.
After Jadyn Wooten and Achol Akot announced their intentions to enter the transfer Portal on Friday, Stailee Heard took to social media to announce that she’ll close out her career in an Oklahoma State uniform.

Through three seasons as a Cowgirl, Heard has scored 1,328 points, which already ranks 15th all time in program history. That means she’s scored about 443 points a season. If she does that again next year, she’d be hovering around the Top 5.
Heard has 649 career rebounds — a number that already sits 14th in program history. She should comfortably climb in the Top 10 there.
She has 18 career double-doubles, which ties Liz Donohoe for 12th in program history. Her 159 steals ties Toni Young for 13th in program history. Her 219 assists rank 20th in program history.
Basically, if there’s a number kept, Heard is among the program’s best in that stat.
With more offensive firepower around her, Heard took a step back in the scoring department as a junior, averaging 11.9 points a game to go with 5.8 boards, 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals.
She scored in the 20s six times this past season and recorded two double-doubles and a triple-double.
Given the recent portal departures along with Micah Gray and Haleigh Timmer each being seniors last season, next year’s Cowgirl roster is going to look a bit different, but keeping a leader like Heard in the fold makes for an excellent cornerstone.
