The Cowboys were afterthoughts in the preseason media poll, and they’ll need Alan Bowman to stay healthy and thrive, but their line play should be rock solid, and they’ve got more talent at linebacker and in the skill corps than people realize. They’re only a couple of breaks away from a bounce-back season.

• Kind of fun – Zac Robinson sounds to be calling plays for the LA Rams in Saturday night game in Denver:

To my knowledge, Rams pass game coordinator/QBs coach Zac Robinson is also calling this week’s preseason game; added cool factor is Colorado is his home state. He called last week from the booth (his first call) and sounds like he’ll try out calling from the sideline this week.
