OSU Bullets

• Would OSU/Tulsa the toughest out-of-conference game in the Big 12?

(TCU) appeared to lose SMU on Monday night when the Big 12 decreed the one nonconference game must be a home game. Frogs-Mustangs is scheduled for Dallas on Sept. 26. Maybe the Mustangs are willing to bus to Fort Worth instead. If they are, SMU-TCU ranks alongside TU-OSU as the Big 12’s most interesting non-cons. [TulsaWorld]

I didn’t realize a part of Monday’s decision was to only play your non-conference game at home. If OSU goes with Tulsa, their fans can be glad about the best challenge the Big 12 may see outside of league play.

• Gundy added a junior college tight end yesterday who will have a couple of seasons of eligibility after he arrives next summer

• See what Chuba Hubbard needs to rush for this year to break into OSU’s all-time top three in career rushing:

Thurman Thomas — 5,001
Terry Miller — 4,754
David Thompson — 4,318
Kendall Hunter — 4,181
Barry Sanders — 3,797

…In 2019, Hubbard ran for 161.1 yards a game. If he did that in 2020, he would finish the year with 1,611 yards, bringing his career total to 4,445. [PFB]

• Will Spencer Sanders’ thumb surgery impact his season?

• Cade and Co. added a game against Oakland to the non-conference schedule

• Fall camp starts for the Pokes today. It’s supposed to anyways.

• Some jersey numbers for the new Cowboys:

Non-OSU Bullets

• The cracking façade of college football
• Steal the time from comfort (habits)
• What the Spurs are doing in the NBA bubble is pretty crazy (downsizing positions)
