November to Remember… Sort Of
The Pokes didn’t necessarily thrive in November but that didn’t mean everyone on the team struggled.
No place-kicker was more accurate than Matt Ammendola in the month of November.
Some may have matched him, but it was mathematically impossible to be better. The sophomore made all eight of his field-goal attempts and all 23 of his extra points over OSU’s final four games in the last month of the regular season. [TulsaWorld]
After a slow start, Ammendola really flourished as the primary kicker. Color me surprised!
Texas’ Finest
OSU’s incoming quarterback will be receiving quite the award soon after it was announced on Tuesday.
Every year, Dave Campbell’s Texas Football honors the most outstanding high school football player in the state of Texas with the “Mr. Texas Football” award. This year’s winner is Spencer Sanders, a dual-threat quarterback committed to Oklahoma State. [Oklahoma State Diehards]
The quarterback at Oklahoma, Kyler Murray, and at Oklahoma State, will both have won the award. And Texas wonders why they haven’t found a quarterback yet!
Quite a throw by Oklahoma State @CowboyFB pledge Spencer Sanders on 34-yard TD pass to Gabriel Douglas to give Denton Ryan 14-7 lead over Highland Park in first quarter. #txhsfb @SportsDayHS @RyanRaiderFB @hpisdschools @dctf @MaxPreps @ihss_dfw pic.twitter.com/tgrJ9jK43T

OSU and NCAA Notes
OSU is looking for a mother lode of defensive backs….See where the top thirty Oklahoma football players are headed….Why are bowl games in random places?….What’s wrong with Kansas?
Big time respect for this collection!
The O-State @CowboyFB helmet collection grows by one more. Can’t wait to see what next year will bring. pic.twitter.com/BiZ3OQ9UPl

Should be a fun game tonight, the Pokes eeked it out over the Cane last year.
Tomorrow we defend GIA against an in-state foe. #letswork #okstate
